ALICE MOREY
Alice Morey (sie/ihr) ist eine in London geborene Künstlerin, die seit 2009 in Berlin lebt und arbeitet. Die Malerei steht im Mittelpunkt ihrer künstlerischen Praxis, die sich auf Keramik, Glas, Textilien, Performance und Installation erstreckt. Mit Gestik, Materialtransformation und Zufall erkundet sie Materie, Zeit und Erfahrung durch Abstraktion. In ihrer Arbeit vereint sie Feuer, Ton, Asche, Mineralien, Pigmente, Textilien und biologische Materialien und untersucht dabei Prozesse des Brennens, Färbens, Webens und Verfalls. Seit sie 2025 als Atelierkünstlerin bei E-WERK Luckenwalde tätig ist, erforscht sie lokal gewonnene keramische Materialien wie Asche, pflanzliche Stoffe und Biokohle sowie kollaborative keramische Praktiken.
Alice Morey (she/her) is a London-born artist living and working in Berlin since 2009. Painting is at the core of her practice, which extends across ceramics, glass, textiles, performance and installation. Working with gesture, material transformation and chance, she explores matter, time and experience through abstraction. Her practice brings together fire, clay, ash, minerals, pigments, textiles and biological materials, investigating processes of burning, firing, staining, weaving and decay. Since joining E-WERK Luckenwalde as a studio artist in 2025, she has researched locally sourced ceramic materials, including ash, plant-based materials and biochar, alongside collaborative ceramic practices.
