NADIA D’ALESSIO
In den letzten Jahren hat sich die Künstlerin Nadia D’Alessio einer künstlerischen Auseinandersetzung gewidmet, die das Verhältnis zwischen Individuum und Kollektiv untersucht. Um die Verhaltensmöglichkeiten des Individuums als Reaktion auf die es umgebenden kollektiven Modelle zu erforschen, unternimmt die Künstlerin eine parallele Erkundung von Materialien und Kompositionen, die diese theoretischen Analysen in eine intuitive und sinnliche Sprache übersetzen können. Indem sie sich auf die Eigenschaften von Materialien stützt – die sie bisweilen auf ihren grundlegendsten Zustand reduziert –, schafft die Künstlerin konzeptuell-visuelle Erzählungen in Form von Skulpturen und sinnlichen Installationen. D’Alessio ist eine italienische Künstlerin mit einem Abschluss in Bildhauerei an der „Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera“ in Mailand, den sie 2016 erwarb. Im selben Jahr zog sie nach Berlin, wo sie ihre unabhängige künstlerische Forschung fortsetzt und sich dabei auch mit Ansätzen auseinandersetzt, die weit von der akademischen Szene entfernt sind. Zuletzt nahm sie an Gruppenausstellungen in unabhängigen Räumen in Berlin und Leipzig teil und arbeitete darüber hinaus mit Institutionen wie dem T-Werk Theater in Potsdam (Deutschland), 2024, und dem House for Contemporary Culture – Marres (Niederlande), 2026, zusammen.
In recent years, artist Nadia D’Alessio has been pursuing an artistic exploration that examines the relationship between the individual and the collective. To explore the behavioural possibilities of the individual in response to the collective models that surround it, the artist undertakes a parallel exploration of materials and compositions that can translate these theoretical analyses into an intuitive and sensory language. By drawing on the properties of materials—sometimes reduced to their most basic state—the artist creates conceptual-visual narratives that take the form of sculptures and sensory installations. D’Alessio is an Italian artist with a degree in Sculpture from “Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera” in Milan, obtained in 2016. In the same year she moved to Berlin, where she continues her independent artistic research exploring art also in approaches far from the academic scene. Recently, she participated in group exhibitions in independent spaces between Berlin and Leipzig, moreover she collaborated with institution as T-Werk Theater in Potsdam (Germany), 2024, and House for Contemporary Culture – Marres (Netherlands), 2026.
