The call for applications is open to groups of performing artists working at regional, national and international levels.

Groups may apply if they:

  • or – given the current funding situation – are in a research or exploratory phase and require time for artistic development.

A residency lasts one to two weeks and includes:

  • Rehearsal and work spaces (studio, outdoor areas) including basic technical equipment (overview of venue options here)
  • Accommodation (in single, twin or shared rooms, depending on availability
  • Meals provided by the castle kitchen (vegetarian)
  • A pro-rata travel allowance subject to agreement and availability
  • At the end of the residency, a public or internal presentation of the work produced may
  • take place, in a format agreed upon by the group.

RESIDENCY PERIODS

Residencies will take place between May and September 2027. If an application is successful, the specific periods will be agreed upon jointly and are binding. The stay will last for a minimum of one week and a maximum of two weeks.

Please note: No stays are possible between 1 and 15 August 2027.

SELECTION CRITERIA

The independent expert jury will assess applications based on the following criteria:

  • artistic quality and originality of the project
  • feasibility of the project and its potential for further development
  • the group’s artistic practice to date
  • the significance of a residency at Schloss Bröllin for the current project or work phase

Outreach initiatives or a connection to the Vorpommern region are welcome, but not a prerequisite.

APPLICATION

Applications must be submitted online in German or English. Please submit the fully completed application form and all required documents electronically.

Application deadline: 1 October 2026, 24:00 (CEST)
