SUSANNE HUSEMANN
Susanne Husemann ist Malerin und arbeitet an der Grenze zwischen Wahrnehmung, Erinnerung und Transformation. Ausgangspunkt ihrer Arbeiten sind häufig Bilder aus dem kollektiven Gedächtnis, die sie malerisch verschiebt, überlagert und in neue Zusammenhänge bringt. Sie interessiert der Moment, in dem das Bekannte seine Eindeutigkeit verliert und sich der Bildraum für etwas noch Unbestimmtes öffnet. Malerei versteht sie als Möglichkeitsraum, in dem Intuition, Zufall und Wahrnehmung neue Wirklichkeiten entstehen lassen.
Susanne Husemann is a painter who works at the intersection of perception, memory, and transformation. Her works often take as their starting point images from the collective memory, which she shifts, superimposes, and places in new contexts through her painting. She is interested in the moment when the familiar loses its unambiguity and the pictorial space opens up to something as yet undefined. She views painting as a space of possibility in which intuition, chance, and perception give rise to new realities.
