Während ihres aktuellen Residenzaufenthaltes auf Schloss Bröllin nähern sich Makisig Akin & Anya Cloud/The Love Makers Company in einer zweiteiligen Probenphase für ihre neue abendfüllende Choreografie „Post-Failure Potentials“ der zentralen Fragestellung Was wäre, wenn Scheitern nicht das Ende, sondern der Anfang wäre? Mit dabei ist ein generationsübergreifendes Ensemble aus queeren, interkulturellen, multireligiösen Tänzer:innen.Kampfsportwettbewerb trifft auf Tanzperformance und unterläuft die binären Beziehungen zwischen Scheitern und Erfolg, Zusammenarbeit und Konkurrenz, Performer:innen und Publikum.
During their current residency at Schloss Bröllin, Makisig Akin & Anya Cloud/The Love Makers Company are approaching the central question What if failure were not the end, but the beginning? in a two-part rehearsal phase for their new full-length choreography ‘Post-Failure Potentials’. The project features a cross-generational ensemble of queer, intercultural, multi-religious dancers. Martial arts competition meets dance performance, subverting the binary relationships between failure and success, collaboration and competition, performers and audience.
