Nach der begeisternden Eröffnung des biennalen MV tanzt an-Festivals „Tanzfusionen“ mit ihrer Produktion „PACK“ ist die 2020 von Maria Chiara de Nobili und Alexander Miller gegründete Company Miller de Nobili auf Schloss Bröllin für eine zweiwöchige Residenz zu Gast. Für ihre neue Produktion „There Was Still Time“ lassen sich Miller de Nobili von Samuel Becketts „Warten auf Godot“ inspirieren und fragen in Zeiten neoliberaler Selbstverwirklichungspraktiken nach dem tieferliegenden Gemeinsamen. Über eine Kombination aus Breaking, urbanem und zeitgenössischem Tanz sowie Schauspieltechniken nähern sich die Tänzer Nam Tran Xuan und Alessandro Ottaviani der zentralen Thematik des Wartens mit Blick auf die Komplexität heutigen Lebens und das Potenzial des Innehaltens. Anschließend an eine erste Recherche- und Residenzphase im Centro Coreografico Canal in Madrid und die weiterführenden Proben auf Schloss Bröllin ist die Gruppe zur diesjährigen Biennale Danza in Venedig eingeladen, wo „There Was Still Time“ Ende Juli zur Uraufführung kommt.
Following the inspiring opening of the biennial MV tanzt an festival „Tanzfusionen“ with their production „PACK“, the company Miller de Nobili, founded by Maria Chiara de Nobili and Alexander Miller in 2020, is now in residence at Schloss Bröllin for a two-week rehearsal period. For their new production „There Was Still Time“, Miller de Nobili are inspired by Samuel Beckett’s „Waiting for Godot“ and, in times of neoliberal self-actualisation practices, ask about a deeper common ground. Using a combination of breaking, urban and contemporary dance and acting techniques, the dancers Nam Tran Xuan and Alessandro Ottaviani approach the central theme of waiting with a view to the complexity of contemporary life and the potential of pausing. Following an initial research and residency phase at the Centro Coreografico Canal in Madrid and further rehearsals at Schloss Bröllin, the group has been invited to this year’s Biennale Danza in Venice, where „There Was Still Time“ will be premiered at the end of July.
