International groups of artists from the performing arts can apply for a residency at Schloss Bröllin. A residency of up to two weeks is possible for the production of dance, theatre, circus and performance projects.

WHEN?
The following periods are planned for residencies: May, June, July and September 2025
No stays are possible during the following periods: 28.07. to 06.09.2025. The minimum stay is one week, maximum two weeks.

WHAT DOES A RESIDENCE INCLUDE?

  • Studio/workspace/outdoor area and provision of a basic set of technical equipment. You can get an overview of the workspaces here.
  • Accommodation in shared rooms (for capacity reasons, single room accommodation is not guaranteed).
  • Catering by our kitchen if possible, alternatively by provision of a self-catering kitchen by arrangement
  • A pro rata travel allowance may be granted by arrangement (in principle, the least environmentally damaging means of transport should be chosen).
  • At the end of the production period, a public presentation of the work results will take place in consultation with the group, to which the public can be invited. Schloss Bröllin will take care of the advertising and organisation.

WHO?
The Open Call is open to groups from all areas of the performing arts. The applications submitted will be assessed by the jury according to the following criteria:

  • Artistic quality and independence of the project
  • Plausibility, seriousness and originality of the realisation of the concept
  • Professional perspective of the group / project
  • If possible, applicants should have already realised their own projects
  • Artistic quality of the work to date
  • We do not set any thematic requirements, but we would like to have a plausible answer to the question of why a residency at a place like Schloss Bröllin makes sense for the project.
  • Mediation offers and reference to the region of Western Pomerania are desirable, but not a must.

GUIDELINES & NOTES
Please submit the application and all attachments electronically (in German or English). You can find the application form here.

Please note: Online applications must be received by September 30, 2024, 24:00 Central European Time (CET/MEZ).

It is not possible to submit applications after midnight and any transfers that have been started will be automatically cancelled. We recommend that you start the application process in good time and prepare all the necessary documents in advance. Please also ensure that you are using a stable network connection with sufficient speed and capacity for transferring large amounts of data.

Other information: Only complete applications can be considered. All information will be treated confidentially and will only be used for decision-making and funding purposes.  After the selection process has been completed, all applicants will receive notification of the jury’s funding votes. We endeavour to announce the decision by the end of November 2024. In the event of funding, the residency period will be determined jointly and bindingly. Subsequent postponement may result in the loss of the funding commitment.
