As part of the annual residency programme, groups of artists from the performing arts (with a focus on dance, performance and contemporary circus) can apply for a residency of up to two weeks at Schloss Bröllin.

WHEN?
The following periods are available for residencies: June to September 2026. Please note: No stays are possible during the following period: 1–15 August 2026. The minimum stay is one week, the maximum two weeks.

WHAT DOES A RESIDENCE INCLUDE?

  • Studio/workspace/outdoor space and provision of basic technical equipment (overview of space options here).
  • Accommodation in single/double or shared rooms (due to capacity reasons, single room accommodation cannot be guaranteed).
  • Meals provided by our estate kitchen (vegetarian full board) where possible, or alternatively, a self-catering kitchen can be provided by arrangement.
  • A proportional travel allowance can be granted upon request (focus on green travel; use of low-emission means of transport for distances of less than 500 km).
  • At the end of the residency, an open-format public presentation of the work results can be arranged in consultation with the group. Schloss Bröllin assumes responsibility for PR and organisation.

WHO?
The Open Call is aimed at groups from the performing arts with a focus on dance, performance and contemporary circus. A residency is particularly useful for coming together temporarily for a concentrated production phase. The residency programme is intended as production support and aimed at artists who are working on a new production or would like to revise a previous project with already secured third-party funding or still pending funding approval. However, given the current funding situation, we also invite artists/groups who are in a research or orientation phase without a funding commitment.

The applications submitted will be assessed by the jury according to the following criteria:

  • Artistic quality of the project
  • Plausibility of the concept’s implementation
  • Professional prospects of the group/project
  • A plausible answer to the question of why a residency at a place like Schloss Bröllin makes sense for the project would be of interest.
  • Outreach activities and a connection to the Uecker-Randow region are welcome in order to further establish Schloss Bröllin as an open meeting and creative place for interaction between diverse neighbourhoods and generations.

Please note: Online applications must be submitted by 30 September 2025, 24:00 Central European Summer Time (CEST).

Comments or special requirements/needs*: We are constantly working to improve our accessibility, but due to the structural/architectural conditions of the estate, Schloss Bröllin is not a barrier-free location.
* Access Rider available on request

After midnight, it will no longer be possible to apply, and any transfers that have already begun will be automatically cancelled. We strongly recommend that you start the application process in good time and prepare all the necessary documents in advance. Please also ensure that you have a stable internet connection with sufficient speed and capacity for transferring large amounts of data.

Other information: Only complete applications can be considered. All information will be treated confidentially and will be used exclusively in the funding context. After the selection process has been completed, all applicants will be notified of the jury’s funding decisions. We will endeavour to announce the decision by the end of November 2025. If funding should be approved, the residency period will be jointly agreed upon and is binding. Any subsequent postponement may result in the loss of the funding commitment.
